We want you to love what you bought. If something isn't right, we'll do our best to make it right. Please read the below before starting a return so we're on the same page about how it works.
Every return starts with an email to mike@getbrickroad.com. Reach out first — items sent back without contacting us can't be processed.
We pack everything as carefully as we can, but ceramics travel a long way and sometimes things break. If your item arrives damaged, email mike@getbrickroad.com within 30 days with a photo of the damage and your order number. We'll send a replacement as soon as we can, at no cost to you. You don't need to send the broken piece back.
Each Obie is made by hand in the mountains of Tajimi, Japan, so no two are exactly alike. Slight variations in texture, color, form, and small imperfections aren't flaws — they're the mark of a piece made slowly by a person, not stamped out by a machine. Before you buy, it's worth deciding which you'd rather have: the perfect uniformity of something mass-produced, or the character of something handmade. Because these qualities are part of what every Obie is, we can't offer returns, refunds, or exchanges for them.
If you'd like to return an undamaged item for a reason other than a defect — you changed your mind, it wasn't the right fit, you preferred a different glaze or shape — here's how that works:
Anything purchased with a discount code or during a sale is final sale — it can't be returned, refunded, or exchanged. Please choose carefully when ordering discounted items.
It's your responsibility to make sure fragile items get back to us intact. We can't refund an item that arrives damaged from the return trip, so if the piece shows up in less than like-new condition, no refund will be issued. If you're not confident in your packing, take it to a trusted shipper and have them pack it for you — it's worth the peace of mind.
